Meet the Team
Shad and Kati Stevens
Board President, Camp Director, Business Manager
Shad serves as the Board President of The Sunrock Foundation and Camp Director for The Sunrock High Adventure Base. Shad has always possessed a passion for helping others feel the power and inspiration only Mother Nature can provide. He started his career as a Fire Fighter/Paramedic before transitioning into Secondary Education where he has been a Teacher, Coach, Athletic Director, Vice Principal and High School Principal. Shad also served as a Head of School in China for a time. He now teaches Religious Education for the Seminary and Institute program for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints during the school year and runs the camp during the summers.
Kati serves as the Camp's Business Manager and possesses extensive experience in budgeting and finance. She has successfully run her own business for many years. She is a mother of 5 children and loves adventure in the outdoors. Kati has an amazing gift in working with young people and families to create unforgettable memories. Her abilities in the office combined with her mother's insight guides and directs the camp's experiences, especially when it comes to the camp's family week.
Shad and Kati have been married for 22 years and reside in Heber City Utah.
Tanner and Alie Blackburn
Vice President, Secretary
Tanner and Alie Blackburn have been married 15 years. Both grew up enjoying the outdoors and have a special place in their hearts for the
Uintah's. They are committed to seeing Sunrock become a place that
will have an impact on all who visitfor many years to come.
Skyler and Nicole Johnston
Website Directors
Skyler finds joy in serving others in his community and working with the youth. He worked in the Scouting program and assisted many young men in achieving their Eagle Scout Award. He attended Wood Badge training as a Beaver and returned as a troop guide to the Antelopes. Skyler is known for high adventure activities such as mountain biking, marathon running, rock climbing and mountaineering. Skyler is excited to see Sunrock grow and be a positive influence in many lives.
Nicole currently works as the personal assistant to a well-known Christian songwriter where she manages marketing, websites, support, and finances. She loves working with youth and spent years teaching ESL to children and teens. She's an outdoor enthusiast and loves to travel.
Kevin Garlick
Project Manager
Kevin Garlick recently retired from a 45-year career in public power management working for Provo City, Logan and Bountiful. As a young
scout, Kevin attended Camp Steiner several times and collected fond memories of the camp and the Uintas. Now that he has some free time,
Kevin volunteers at the camp during the summer season and assists in promoting and helping at the camp. He is married to Helen Anderson, has
three married children and 8 wonderful grandkids. He works with his two older grandsons at the camp - Justin and Trevor. He invites other volunteers/ retirees to join in giving the youth an adventure of a lifetime in the remote mountains.
BreAnn Brown
Treasurer
BreAnn Washburn Brown is the Founder of Orange Canyon Consulting, where she specializes in helping both for profit and philanthropic organizations. She holds an MBA in Marketing and Operations Management from Brigham Young University and a BS in Philosophy.

I have spent much of my life working with youth as an educator and mentor, and I believe deeply in the power of meaningful outdoor experiences to shape character, build friendships, and strengthen faith.
Sunrock Camp provides a unique environment where young people can step away from the noise of everyday life, connect with the beauty of God’s creations, and discover greater confidence in themselves and their potential. I am grateful to be part of an organization dedicated to creating experiences that bless lives and leave lasting impressions.

Brad Hartley is a local entrepreneur, humanitarian, and family man. He grew up in Utah County and is the principal broker in a successful health
insurance agency. Brad has travelled to many countries doing extensive charity work and is driven by helping others reach their potential.
